Challenge Overview

The Welcome Building required a robust and future-ready fibre backbone to support landlord services, tenant connectivity, and WiredScore Platinum certification. The goal was to deliver high-speed, resilient infrastructure that could handle the building’s operational demands while offering tenants choice, flexibility, and seamless access to services.

The Zetta Solution

Zetta Connect was appointed to design, build, and manage the complete landlord fibre infrastructure at the Welcome Building. Our team installed a 12-core single-mode fibre backbone running from diverse landlord comms rooms in the basement to every floor, using separate risers for maximum resilience. Fibre was terminated on each floor to allow tenants easy, high-speed connections.

We coordinated diverse external connections from CityFibre and Openreach, entering the building via separate routes for added resilience. A 48-core fibre link between landlord comms rooms ensured robust internal distribution, while key services like BMS, CCTV, and guest Wi-Fi were integrated into a managed, monitored network.

Zetta also supported wayleave agreements and future-proofed the building by facilitating Virgin Media cabling for future tenant use. Our connectivity design met WiredScore Platinum standards, and we managed the accreditation process end to end.

The Result

The Welcome Building now benefits from resilient fibre infrastructure, seamless building services integration, and best-in-class digital connectivity, future-proofed for growing tenant demand and certified at WiredScore Platinum level.
